Movember is the month formerly known as November, where men and women across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Men grow a Mo (moustache) for 30 days to become walking, talking billboards for our men’s health causes - specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health, with a particular focus on suicide prevention.
Death at any age, by any cause, is a tragedy. But when death comes sooner to men, in ways that are largely preventable, it’s a crisis.
Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing this health crisis and it’s not being talked about.
There is a lot being done, but it’s not happening fast enough to have real impact. The Movember Foundation is uniquely placed to address the crisis at a global level. We’re engaging with men where they are, to understand what works best, to help make change happen sooner, before it’s too late.
Our work at the Movember Foundation helps men live healthy, happy lives and prevents men from dying too young. We provide a platform for talking about men’s health. We help men develop a healthier attitude and behavior toward their health. We encourage men to talk more with those around them and feel better able to cope with difficult feelings and circumstances.
We want our men alive, well and enjoying life.
