HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - EDMONTON SOCIETY
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Details

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton is a faith-based organization whose primary goal is to build homes for families in need of a "hand up." Although Alberta is often called the “land of opportunity,” we cannot ignore the growing need for affordable housing. This problem demands everyone’s attention. Many working families pay an unacceptably large percentage of their income on rent. Their dreams of homeownership have turned into nightmares. We remain focused on our goal to increase substantially the number of homes we build annually as the need for affordable housing in Alberta continues to grow. Habitat homes are built by volunteers under the supervision of a few paid staff. We rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of our donors and volunteers to build homes. Partnering with Habitat helps to make housing affordable in the capital region. The need has never been greater, and the opportunity to make a difference has never been more accessible. Help us to find a solution to the affordable housing crisis by donating, volunteering or sponsoring a build today! Vision To see a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
